A New Year, Bright and Simple
Share
As the year begins, I keep returning to simple things.
Morning light on a white dress.
The sharp, clean scent of citrus just cut.
Hands at work, slowly, carefully, doing what they know how to do.
This is how I welcome a new year.
Each piece I make here in New York is still shaped by hand, stitch by stitch, the same way I have always approached this work. There is intention in that slowness. A belief that clothing can hold care, time, and restraint, and that beauty does not need to announce itself loudly to be felt.
I often think of you when I am working. I imagine you moving through your days and the small rituals that shape a life. Getting dressed in the morning. Stepping out into the city or into quiet. Living fully but without excess. I design not to hide you, but to reflect you. To allow your presence, confidence, and individuality to come through with ease.
This past fall marked four years since I left my corporate job to pursue this dream. I am deeply aware that this work exists because of your continued support and belief. Your love allows me to keep this atelier intimate and honest. It allows me to keep dreaming and to keep making by hand.
If this year carries a wish, it is this. That we all allow ourselves moments of clarity and brightness, like citrus in winter. Simple, alive, and quietly optimistic.
Thank you for being part of this atelier, for wearing these pieces with your own life woven into them, and for supporting a dream made by hand. I am always open to thoughtful collaboration. If you feel inspired to create something together, I would love to hear from you.
With gratitude,
Chase
